Amber Glow Books Submission Guidelines

First Time Authors Welcome

Amber Glow Books is committed to offering readers the most entertaining experience we can. We are accepting queries in the following genres and lengths. Send submissions to publisher@amberglowbooks.com.

Genres:

• Romance (all subgenres)
• Young Adult
• Mystery
• Thriller/Suspense
• Series and Stand alone

We are seeking authors with strong character development, good plotting skills, and the ability to engage the reader on all emotional levels.

We do NOT accept poetry unless it falls into the content of the work or any fictional work that includes the abuse of children for the purpose of titillation. No bestiality, incest, or rape as titillation.

Amber Glow Books publishes three kinds of works:

• Single Title (Word Count 50,001 – 150,000) must be 75,000 words plus to be considered for print
• Novella (Word Count 10,001 – 50,000)
• Short Story "Nibbles" (Word count 3,000 – 10,000) eBook only

Please follow these Guidelines for submission:

Send a professional cover email with “Submission-Book title-Author name” in subject. Include in body of email, a cover letter with genre and page count. Attach a detailed 1 to 3 page synopsis (describing setting and main characters and outlining full plot, including resolution) and the complete manuscript in a Word document to publisher@amberglowbooks.com. Note: We do not accept paper submissions.

All cover letters must include:

• Name (and pseudonym if applicable)
• Mailing address
• Phone number
• E-mail address

Manuscript formatting guidelines:

• File saved in Word format (.doc) or (.rtf)
• 8 ½ x 11 sheet
• Single spaced
• Times New Roman 12pt font/black ink
• 1-inch margin on all sides/ single spaced
• Align text left, do not justify (aligning text both left and right)
• Header containing title, author name and page number
• Capital letters at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns
• Show new paragraphs by indenting first line of new paragraph. Do not add blank line between paragraphs.
• Show scene breaks with * * * centered in the appropriate line.
